truga is situated in the southwest part of the Republic of Macedonia, by the Ohrid Lake. The river Crn Drim flows through the town and divides it into two parts. The town itself is in a flat, but surrounded by mountains (Jablanica, Karaorman). The municipality of Struga has about 35.000 inhabitants and the town itself about 16.000.

he municipality of Struga borders with the municipalities which emerged out of the old municipality of Struga: Vevcani, Velesta, Delogozda, then with Ohrid and the municipality of Meseista which emerged out of the old municipality of Ohrid with the new territory partition in 1996. The municipalty spreads on 136 km² and is one of the smaller municipalities in the Republic of Macedonia.

he municipality of Struga consists of the town of Struga and 18 settled areas: Gorna Belica, Oktisi, Draslajca, Bidzevo, Lozani, Moroista, Dolna Belica, Vranista, Radolista, Mali Vlaj, Zagracani, Frangovo, Sum, Visni, Mislesevo, Kalista and Radozda.
